The Club had a fantastic turnout on a cold wintry night from many of our key stakeholders last Friday, 17 July for the “Official Launch of our New Lighting Infrastructure”. The launch coincided with two entertaining women’s Fixtures played against Yarra Jets FC in the Zagame’s State League 1 competition.
Speeches from Cr Angela Villella (Latrobe Ward City of Darebin Councillor) who spoke on behalf of five City of Darebin Councillor’s present, and Mr Craig Ondarchie (Member for Northern Metropolitan Region, Shadow Minister for Investment and Jobs and Shadow Minister for Trade) were a positive highlight of the night. Other guests included past and present Football Federation Victoria representatives including current Board member Sam Prenesti.
Club President Zak Gruevski welcomed those gathered by saying: “On behalf of the PLFC Executive Committee, our parents, players, supporters and more broadly our local community, thank you to our key stakeholders and supporters for the faith you have shown in our Club with the investment in much needed lighting and other infrastructure. We look forward to continuing to serve our local community by being one of the premier sporting/community facilities and Clubs in the north of Melbourne.”
